By using the Magic Mirror in Divinity: Original Sin 2, you can respec, reset, and customize your characters and party members. The Lady Vengeance, your ship, has a magic mirror.
The second gift bag update from Larian Studios added another magic mirror to the Fort Joy arena, underneath the kitchen.
Using the Magic Mirror
To respec your character in Divinity Original Sin 2, you simply use the Magic Mirror.
And, then choose the character you wish to change once you have found the mirror and decided which character you wish to change.
Use the left mouse button to click on the mirror. Choose ‘Use’ from the menu by right-clicking.
When you choose to use the magic mirror, you will be redirected to the customization menu for whatever character you selected.
You can design your character in this way, just like the first menu in the game. This menu lets you change pretty much anything about your character, such as respecing your skills.
During the initial customization of your character, you will not be able to change the race.
Make any changes you wish to the customization menu once you’ve reached it. Save your changes by clicking the accept button at the bottom of the screen.
Where to Respec in Divinity: Original Sin 2
The magic mirror item can be found in two locations in Divinity Original Sin 2. On this page, we’ll discuss where to find both of these locations and how to get to them.
The first location is in the base game. The only thing you have to do to unlock it is to progress through the game. In order to use the second magic mirror, you must enable it in the game’s pause menu.
Magic Mirror Location 1: Aboard the Lady Vengeance
You will eventually find yourself on the Lady Vengeance after reaching a certain point in the story. Once upon a time, this was the only magic mirror location in the game.
There is a magic mirror located below decks on the bottom level of the ship. Descend as far as you can down the stairs. The magic mirror can be found at the bottom level, behind the stairs.
Magic Mirror Location 2: Inside the Fort Joy Arena
You must first enable this magic mirror in the settings menu in order to see it. The following guide will explain how to get this mirror available in game to change your skills.
1. Press the ESC key to access the pause menu. Select Gift Bag Features from the pause menu.
When you open it, you’ll see a list of free DLCs and add-ons made by the game’s developers. The regular updates added new content to the game and changed how some of the mechanics worked.
You must scroll down until you find ‘Fort Joy Magic Mirror’ in the Gift Bag menu.
Make sure this item is activated. If you want to enable any other addons as well, do that as well. Go to the kitchen area of Fort Joy once you have enabled the Fort Joy Magic Mirror.
In the kitchen, there is a small hatch that leads down to the arena once you have talked to the right NPC. The Magic Mirror should be in the corner as soon as you turn right after going down the hatch.
Keep an eye on it, because it blends into the wall and is quite dark.
